We are extremely happy to be able to present Foreverexstatic, the full collection of tracks by Ed209 originally released in 2003-2007 as part of 3 vinyl EPs (Superexstatic, Stillexstatic and Stayexstatic) on the Voodoo Rhythm Devil imprint and now here on bandcamp for the first time. Featuring emcee talents like Notts finest Cappo, C-Mone (Out Da Ville), Manchester legend Konny Kon (Children of Zeus) and A-Bomb and Eyezofman from Leicester, 20 years on this project still sounds amazing due to Ed’s gritty, hard and sometimes thunderous production and sample chops combined with hungry Midlands lyricists bringing the correct energy.

Foreverexstatic represents an aspect of UK Hip Hop in which producers like affiliates The P Brothers (Heavy Bronx) put out records with uncompromising rawness and sonic integrity and Ed209’s production exemplifies that aesthetic. The vinyl EPs, now collectable, were sold with posters inside from renowned artist Mr. Jago, and the imagery is included with this album on the individual tracks pages. This reissue also features 2 extra previously unheard freestyles from Grand Imperial Cappo, and a full instrumental version which is themed around a cinematic experience.

Getting to put out the Exstatic EPs back in the 2000s was a privilege. Working with Capz, C-Mone, Konny, Eyez & Bomb on the vocals … with Mr Jago on the visuals and posters … with Mark ‘The Gambler’ on the production … everything came together to make it what it was and its something I’m eternally proud of. Hip Hop has moved even further away from its roots since that time but there will always be those who cook using the original recipe and keep the sound alive … I wanted what I did to be part of that. Massive thanks to Julia, Issy & Maddie and all those involved for the support … and lastly I’ve got to give my props to The P Brothers, especially Ivory, who got me hooked on the grey pads of the MPC and blazed a path that I followed. 15-10.
